Pepsi Refresh Grant for Kids with Disabilities Vote for my idea!

Me and my brother making our video for the Pepsi Refresh Grant. Its a 50000 dollar grant to help kids with mental and physical disabilities in smaller schools and less fortunate schools throughout ohio. Go to my page and vote for my idea!

Question by Judy: Can I have the leftover money I’ll be getting from my college grants?
I’ve gotten so many grants that school is basically paid for. In fact, once I use my grants to pay for books & tuition…I’ll still have money left over. Will I be able to get that extra leftover money to pay for things like rent, bills, books, etc.?

The grant goes directly to my school.

yes, you can. Go to the finacial aid office and ask how much you can have, tell then you need to pay rent and get some books.

Yes. Your school will give you a refund check (some schools actually deposit your refund in your bank account) for the difference between what you owe and what you have been awarded. Just remember that most schools base their awards on full time status, so if you are not going full time your awards may be adjusted.

You can use the refund for anything related to you going to school – rent, etc. like you said, as well as personal expenses.

You should talk to a financial aid officer at your school for further information. Good luck!
